Karine is a self-taught bronze sculptor, born in Lebanon in 1970, with both Mexican and Lebanese roots.

Growing up in Beirut during the civil war, she was deeply influenced by the turbulence of her environment. Her artistic journey continued through twelve years of study in Paris, which further broadened her artistic perspective.

Karine’s work reflects the interplay between the inner world and the external chaos, with a sculptural approach that emphasizes powerful, expressive forms. She begins her process by modeling clay figures, creating rough, textured surfaces with substantial volumes that evoke a profound sense of stability and belonging. Generous curves, flowing volumes, and dynamic shapes are central to her pieces, conveying a sense of serenity and joy, often enhanced by colorful patinas applied to the finished bronze sculptures.

Karine’s work has been showcased in cities worldwide, including Beirut, New York, Florence, London, Cairo, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. Additionally, she has exhibited her artworks at both the historic Salon d’Automne and the prestigious Grand Palais in Paris.
