Clemens Keiffenheim, known artistically as ClemK, is a German painter, author, and film director whose multidisciplinary career has shaped a distinctive and highly expressive artistic practice. Having worked in cinema, theatre, and visual arts, he brings a unique narrative sensibility to his paintings, combining cinematic vision with an instinctive exploration of colour, form, and emotion.
ClemK’s work is characterised by powerful portraiture, abstract interventions, and a dynamic mixed-media approach. Using a self-developed enlargement technique, he transforms photographic portraits into striking compositions where distortion, texture, and colour reveal deeper psychological and emotional dimensions. His energetic brushwork and layered surfaces create artworks that balance spontaneity with careful artistic construction.
Inspired by human nature, memory, and the relationship between contemporary society and our primal instincts, ClemK describes his artistic vision as an “integral view” of reality.
