From painting as her favourite childhood activity to becoming a recognised contemporary artist – Corinna Reisner has been passionate about art for as long as she can remember.

Her work is characterised by bold colours, strong emotions, and vivid expression. Through the play of light and shadow, her portraits gain a striking depth that highlights her dynamic yet precise brushwork.

The artist often paints iconic figures from culture and public life, such as Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, Frida Kahlo, Marilyn Monroe, and Albert Einstein. Dogs, especially dachshunds, frequently appear in her paintings as well.

Her Bavarian roots and love for her hometown Munich are reflected in her choice of subjects. Her series Münchner Köpfe (Heads of Munich) portrays well-known figures who shaped the area, including former Bavarian prime minister Franz Josef Strauß, the fashion designer Rudolph Moshammer, the actress Ruth Drexel, the comedian and cabaret performer Karl Valentin or the actors Helmut Fischer, and Luise Kinseher.
